An Introduction to Family Promise
Originally from the east coast, Janine has her Bachelors Degree in Psychology from Kean University and a Master's Degree in Psychological Services from Kean University. She started off as a volunteer and has spent the last year working as the AmeriCorps VISTA at Family Promise. Janine has exceptional admiration for Family Promise. She enjoys educating her community about the homeless population and bringing the Palouse together to end homelessness. Janine is enthusiastic to work with local Congregational leaders, the Moscow-Pullman Communities and Family Promise in ending Poverty on the Palouse.
Family Promise of the Palouse is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to empower families with children experiencing homelessness to achieve sustainable independence for a more promising future.
Ending Homelessness on the Palouse,
One Family at a Time.
FPP operates through an Interfaith Hospitality Network (IHN) to provide immediate shelter to homeless families in our community while helping people achieve lasting independence. Our IHN is a partnership of interfaith congregations in our community helping families who are facing homelessness.
We are an affiliate of the national Family Promise program that has served over 400,000 people, with it mostly serving children over the past 20 years.
